Give It All You Got!

May 28, 2017

How many times in your life have you felt like giving up? At any given time there could be all sorts of situations that push us to our limits, test us — and may eventually make us want to give up. Sometimes, we may even give up before starting something new due to the time and effort a goal requires. Over time, quitting one dream after another may only make us feel like we are incapable of achieving anything anymore. The only way to stop this vicious circle is to put your foot down and GIVE IT ALL YOU GOT! Unless you are dead, anything is possible. Don’t bury yourself in a pile of unfulfilled dreams and “what ifs.” Act on your goals every day, little by little, until you see them come to life!

To begin, give up your excuses

Excuses are the number one inhibitor of your success. They allow you to box yourself into your comfort zone and be “OK” with your life. After a while, however, you will start to feel the life you are living is not the life you are proud of. If excuses are stopping you from working out, participating in a competition, or starting a business — eliminate the negative thoughts and do whatever it is you know you have to do.

Give yourself some time:

Let’s be real, nothing happens overnight. You may wish to become a professional athlete after a couple of months of training, but that is not how anyone ends up on the top. Behind every successful person there are years of failures, frustrations and absolute dedication to their goals. Strive to make progress every day, but don’t let the time it takes to achieve a goal scare you.

Get organized

One thing that stops people from going after their goals is not knowing where to start. To begin, create a clear picture of what success looks like to you, what steps you need to take and how much time you need to complete it. Setting and crushing daily goals will eventually lead to a week of accomplishments, followed by a month of achievements, and so on.

Act

Things won’t magically happen to you while you are sitting around doing nothing but talking about it. Stop talking, start doing. There are three types of people in this world: those who make it happen, those who watch it happen, and those who don’t even know what’s going on! Don't be the last two. Those are the people who never achieve anything. Instead, put energy out into the world to make your goals and dreams come true.

And finally, stay positive

You stopped making up excuses. You learned that practice and time are your best friends. You created a clear path for your success. And you started to act upon it. Now is the time to keep that mind of yours positive, hopeful and free of negative self-talk. A positive mindset goes a long way and will help you reach your goals faster. When you know you got this, and no matter how slow, you are still making progress, then every day can be a reason for small celebration. Make it a habit to have a positive outlook on life and you’ll see how much easier it becomes to make your dreams come true.

Once you start seeing changes and begin to achieve your goals, however small, it will give you enough hope and energy to try something bigger next time. Never quit — and remember, you only get as much as you put in — so give it all you got to achieve anything you want!

How to Develop Your Self-Trust
How to Develop Your Self-Trust

November 10, 2019

Do you trust yourself? Most of us don't ask that question too often as we naturally tend to think that we all do. What many of us don't realize is that your level of self-trust can be different about different things. You may trust your instincts and yourself in some things, like driving your car or caring for pets, for example. But what about when it comes to making big commitments or decisions? Do you trust your intuition and reasoning to make decisions that are actually yours and makeYOU happy and not someone else?

No matter how you handled yesterday, there is nothing you can do about it now. Whatever tomorrow has to offer has yet to be unveiled – and you have no control over it. The only time you can control is NOW – so bring your A-GAME and make the best of it.

You may think you can just do it tomorrow  but tomorrow is a myth because there is always a tomorrow. If you are not going to do it now, then you may never actually get around to doing it. Make the best of the now and get right to what you planned to do.
