NO EXCUSES

NO EXCUSES

Excuses are fertilizers to failure. They will always exist. The secret is to be stronger than your excuses. If you want an excuse to not get into your workout gear today, you will surely find many. The problems are never the potency of your excuse, it is the frailty of your commitment.

In truth, some of your excuses will be genuine: It is so cold out there this morning, you are terribly sore from yesterday’s workout, this week has been crazy at work. These are all valid reasons for your absence, but they are never as good as the results you want. You cannot have both of them – you either stick to your excuses, or you go for results.

Stay Hungry

Sometimes things will go wrong, and you will be genuinely frustrated, but you need to make up your mind to defy the odds and show up all the same. Develop a tenacious hunger to be able to deliver on your workout no matter what the opposition will be. Things will never completely fall into place for you to have a smooth workout, but as long as it is not a matter of life and death, you need to ignore some things and finish your routine.

You may need to consistently foresee the things that could go wrong and rob you of your workout time. Try these tips to prevent this from happening:

  • Prepare your workout gear and gym bag the night before
  • Make sure you go to bed earlier, so you do not find yourself waking up late
  • Ensure that you have performed duties that may keep you from working out tomorrow morning

Here are some tips to overcome excuses in life:

1. Shut up and start doing it

The more you talk about doing something, the less likely that you will ever be able to do it. It is good to talk, it is nice to think  but you need to finish it up with actions. Follow through.

2. Listen to your excuses

If you do not listen to yourself, you will never know how ridiculous your excuses sound. Stop the whining and get to work. You need to dedicate yourself to the lifestyle and make it a part of you that cannot be separated.

3. Let the people around you know the kind of demands you are placing on yourself, so they will hold you accountable

Make sure to focus on what you truly want out of life.

A particularly frustrating part of struggle is the ability that it has to stop us dead in our tracks IF we allow it. The potential embarrassment of failure freezes us. The possibility for rejection discourages us. The idea of disappointment makes us check out of the game.

Our world today is a convection of deception, constantly the bullshit is on the rise, and the truth, subsurface and disregarded. We must hold true and steady the course through the lies and contradictions. We have to hold the line between our own lives, and the world that tries to breach in.
Be Thankful
Be Thankful

Gratitude is something we could all benefit from. Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given. Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present.
