Trust the Process

Trust the Process

Happy Monday! Here we are, blessed with a brand new week to go out there and crush our goals. This week, focus on trusting the process. Many times, it’s hard enough to simply get a program of self-improvement off the ground and when you do, things don’t always go according to plan. Setbacks are natural, but we must maintain consistency in the face of them. Reinforce your willpower to establish a system and not deviate.

Focus on your performance by successfully executing bite size tasks that, when added together, get you to your goal. Sometimes our goals can be so large that the very idea of achieving them seems too great to accomplish.  By breaking them into small steps they begin to be realistic and attainable, and we gain the confidence that we can achieve them. The key is in making consistent progress on those small steps. Adjust when necessary, but ultimately, consistency always wins the race!  As you go along, observe what is working and not working and optimize your system, but always keep moving.

Never let insecurity or frustration halt your progress, push through it because you’ve come this far and now is not the time to give up! Remember that where there is a will, there is always a way. Just focus on consistent steps along a focused path of action and trust that process.  Being Dissident means doing yourself the justice of consistent effort!

A particularly frustrating part of struggle is the ability that it has to stop us dead in our tracks IF we allow it. The potential embarrassment of failure freezes us. The possibility for rejection discourages us. The idea of disappointment makes us check out of the game.

Our world today is a convection of deception, constantly the bullshit is on the rise, and the truth, subsurface and disregarded. We must hold true and steady the course through the lies and contradictions. We have to hold the line between our own lives, and the world that tries to breach in.

Gratitude is something we could all benefit from. Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given. Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present.
