My Vibe. My Tribe.

My Vibe. My Tribe.

This week's theme was chosen and written by one of our Athlets Janea Munoz. Be sure to follow her on Instagram @neanea89 as she dives deeper into this week's theme "My Vibe. My Tribe"

You know the ones that make you feel the most you. The ones that lift you up and help you remember who you are.The ones that remind you that the bump in the road is just that. They are the ones that even if you don't see them face to face as often as you'd like you see them heart to heart. They're the people that make you want to see the sun where you once saw clouds.

My Tribe. My Vibe.

Many of us, if not all have heard the saying, “Your vibe attracts your tribe..” This quote has become all too real for me, but also took me a long time to realize the impact it would have in my life in all the positive ways.

How many of you have noticed your circle of friends, support and even family get smaller and smaller as we get older and older? As we grow and start coming to terms with life that is when we start weeding out those negative things and people in our lives. It may create heart break, loss of trust and uncertainty within us. We get so caught up in having such a big social media following, having big groups of friends in school, being the go-to person at work and the rock for our families. Having all of this creates a loss of self love and the inability to realize that it is ok to put ourselves first for once. When that happens we start to see that we are surrounded by negativity and it hinders us more than we know.

Once we start to see that in ourselves and start setting our own goals is usually when that circle starts to decrease in head counts BUT starts to increase in value. We finally start setting those attainable goals for ourselves, find our self love and have our tribe of trues behind us; giving us that full, loyal and genuine support we need.

So take a look at where you are now, are there people who are a part of your life only for their benefit? This is going to be the hardest part if they still are. I guarantee, 100% of the time you are creating more pain and setbacks by keeping those negative people around then you are letting them go. In the beginning it will be hard and painful, but it will be liberating and freeing as time goes on I promise you.

You are valuable, your dreams and aspirations are valuable. Surround yourself with positivity and love. Those who truly believe in you will lift you up, be there for you, offer lending hands, be that shoulder to cry on and that ear to listen to you. Keep your tribe close and true and your positive vibes will illuminate.

A particularly frustrating part of struggle is the ability that it has to stop us dead in our tracks IF we allow it. The potential embarrassment of failure freezes us. The possibility for rejection discourages us. The idea of disappointment makes us check out of the game.

Our world today is a convection of deception, constantly the bullshit is on the rise, and the truth, subsurface and disregarded. We must hold true and steady the course through the lies and contradictions. We have to hold the line between our own lives, and the world that tries to breach in.

Gratitude is something we could all benefit from. Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given. Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present.
