Create On Purpose. Not By Default.

Create On Purpose. Not By Default.

Are you living life or is life living you? It is all too easy to be carried along by automatic reactions, to live in a state of default, rather than determine your own responses to life’s challenges. But whatever happens, you have free will how to respond to situations. If you react without taking control, events and other people have the power over your emotions, thoughts and even actions.
Living on purpose is creating a life and attitude that you will look back on and be happy with. It’s knowing who you are and what is important to you and then making the effort to live in tune with those things. It’s being brave enough to walk away from things that are easy, and put in the hard work into thing that are better.
Just because your parents lived in a small town, got married at 17, and worked a 9–5 for 30 years, that doesn’t mean you have to do the same. If you intend to make something of your own life, you need to stop expecting things to just happen for you or just go with the flow; you need to rise up to your feet, make decisions and choose to make your dreams come to pass.

The world is filled with many people who believe that life has been unfair to them because they think they have limited opportunities, talents and support. So they go about grumbling and grumpy and blaming everything and everybody for the mess of a life that they have. Just ask yourself – are you doing much on purpose at all? If not, grow up and take responsibility for yourself and your life.

Show me a man that lives with the inaccurate perception that life owes him and I will show you a man who is on a journey to poverty, lack and purposelessness. You already have everything that life has to offer you, roll up your sleeves and make the best of what you have and put in the work.

People with a sense of entitlement are the reason why the world is filled with so much hunger, hatred, anger and depression. It is easier to just believe that life should offer you everything on a platter of gold; but that is the way of the  weak; to leave your mark on the sands of time and build great big things that will outlive you, you need to drop the imaginary entitlement mentality and make something out of your own life.

You are born with the most important things you need. If you only pay quality attention, you will come to terms with this truth and you will see the limitless potentials that you carry with you every day. Stop feeling inadequate or incapable of a phenomenal life.

Stop expecting so much from people; it will only lead to a lot of disappointments, heartaches and bitterness. You need to know that people are so distracted looking for what they want and no one is there to give you what you want; go make your own life.

Stop waiting for everything to be perfect, stop waiting for all the stars to align or for the “right” time; there is nothing as such. Stop waiting till you have everything you need to build your dream or to go after your goals; use what you have for what you have is always enough! The other option is living by default by dealing with whats dealt to you and bitching and moaning the whole way through.

A particularly frustrating part of struggle is the ability that it has to stop us dead in our tracks IF we allow it. The potential embarrassment of failure freezes us. The possibility for rejection discourages us. The idea of disappointment makes us check out of the game.

Our world today is a convection of deception, constantly the bullshit is on the rise, and the truth, subsurface and disregarded. We must hold true and steady the course through the lies and contradictions. We have to hold the line between our own lives, and the world that tries to breach in.

Gratitude is something we could all benefit from. Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given. Gratitude shifts your focus from what your life lacks to the abundance that is already present.
